Repair Terms and Liability

 

Welcome to Nerdgasm! By authorizing a repair service or leaving your device with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to protect both our customers and our business.

 

Data Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all personal data prior to repair. This includes photos, videos, documents, settings, apps, and other saved content.

Nerdgasm is not liable for any loss, corruption, or deletion of data that may occur during diagnostics, software resets, hardware replacements, or system repairs.

If you need assistance backing up your device, please speak to a team member before your repair begins. We may offer data backup services for an additional fee.

 

Repair Guarantee

All repair work performed by Nerdgasm is covered by a 30-day workmanship guarantee. If the same issue reoccurs due to our repair within this timeframe, we will fix it at no charge.

This guarantee does not cover:

  • New or unrelated issues
  • Physical or accidental damage
  • Water damage
  • Software problems not tied to the original repair

 

Hardware-Specific Notice

If a component was not replaced (e.g., a charging port inspected but not changed), we cannot guarantee functionality. Any such status will be clearly noted on your receipt.

 

Diagnostics & Non-Repairable Devices

Diagnostic fees may apply even if:

  • You decline to proceed with a repair
  • The device is deemed non-repairable
  • Replacement parts are unavailable

Devices that are not repaired may be returned disassembled or in the condition in which they were received.

 

Abandoned Devices

Devices not picked up within 30 days of service completion or notification will be considered abandoned. Nerdgasm reserves the right to recycle, dispose of, or repurpose abandoned devices to cover storage and diagnostic costs.

We will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the information provided during intake.

 

Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of the repair. Devices will not be released until payment is received.

 

Third-Party Parts (If Used)

When OEM parts are not available or cost-prohibitive, we may use high-quality third-party parts. While we stand by our suppliers, compatibility and performance may vary.

OEM parts can be requested in advance at additional cost (subject to availability).

 

Liquid or Physical Damage Waiver

Devices with prior water damage, corrosion, or physical impact are unpredictable. Even after successful repair, issues may reappear or worsen.

By approving service on such devices, you accept the risks and agree that Nerdgasm cannot guarantee full restoration or long-term performance.

 

Acknowledgment

By submitting a device for repair, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and accepted these terms
  • You are responsible for backing up your data
  • Nerdgasm is not liable for data loss or further issues that may arise
  • All repair work is subject to our 30-day workmanship guarantee
